Notice Regarding Institutional Demand Attestation
Notice Regarding Institutional Demand Attestation
The Consulate General approves demand letters submitted through the demand attestation portal of Department of Consular Services by companies located in Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the UAE. Demand letters are verified and approved online based on the applicable legal provisions governing demand letter approval, the welfare of Nepali workers, and the standards set by the Consulate General.
Demand letter approval is solely concerned with the employer company, and the employer company must obtain a User ID and Password and submit all required documents through the online portal for this process. The Consulate General examines the submitted documents against the prescribed standards and approves them accordingly.
Although the principal documents required from the employer company include the Demand Letter, Sample Employment Contract, Guarantee Letter, Interparty Agreement, and Power of Attorney, the Consulate General may also require and examine additional supporting documents as specified in the prescribed standards. These may include details of Nepali workers currently employed by the company, proof of salary payments, and other documents supporting the demand letter, as well as documents related to Nepali workers.
During the demand letter verification process, the employer company and the concerned manpower company are the two recognized parties to the system. Therefore, information is provided to these two parties only, as required.
Since the demand approval process is conducted entirely online, any requests for additional documents, comments, or suggestions are entered in the online system under the remarks section. These remarks are visible only to the concerned employer company, which is responsible for updating the demand letter file in accordance with the comments or requirements provided by the Consulate General.
However, from time to time, individuals who are not among the two recognized parties make unnecessary inquiries regarding demand letters. Only the authorized representative of the employer company—such as the owner, manager, or Public Relations Officer (PRO)—or the authorized representative of the concerned Manpower Company can contact the Consulate General to inquire about the status of a demand letter, if necessary. The Consulate General is not compelled to disclose information or provide responses to anyone other than the two recognized parties.
Furthermore, representatives of the recognized parties are requested to visit the Consulate General only when specifically requested to do so for clarification or to provide additional information.
Information or updates related to a company's demand letter will not be provided to any person who is not officially authorized or who is not associated with the concerned employer company or the demand letter.
